To acquired knowledge about Asturias Brown bear we
made many activities during the year. From Christmas Cards with a brown bear,
to visit the Brown Bear House, and the Brown Bear Path where two associations
that work in order to protect the brown bear helped us to understand this
animal better and the habitat that the bear needs to live.
These are some of the activities that we made:
- FAPAS helped us to know, understand and love the bear. They made and exhibition with pictures, photographs and a power point presentation explaining how they care and help this animal to survive. And the relation between the forest care and the animal life.
- Related with this, we watched two films: “Brother Bear” and “What is a bear for?” this one, was most filmed in Asturias.
- One of the activities in Christmas was a New Year calendar with a photo of each children and a little bear.
- We started the wall newspaper, with all the news that our students find about “Paca, Tola, Furacu and Molinera”, four famous Asturian bears that we visited with our students.
- We filmed our students explaining the life in our school: parties, trips, activities, subjects…That we already showed and sent to the school partners.
- We made a book about an Asturian bear, between all the pupils, from three to twelve years old, that we already sent to our school partners.
- During the Carnival, we chose Asturian animals and the forest as a thematic for costumes, games, songs …
- More over than in the Comenius class, we made displays in the school wall.
- Ending this post we add some photos of the visit to the Brown Bear House and Brown Bear Path.
